IANS Committees

Online consultation

Through the consultation service, clinical providers will be able to query the IANS experts on issues concerning:

  1. patient management
  2. equipment/supplies for an anal neoplasia clinic and
  3. billing/coding.
Consultation is provided by experts in the diagnosis and management of anal intraepithelial neoplasia.  Members may request up to ten consultations annually.  Your questions will be reviewed by one or more of the IANS board members.  Once we receive your submission you will receive a response within two weeks.  For questions about patient management please include pertinent clinical information.  We encourage you to upload digital photographs of cases.

Online Discussion Forum

This is an opportunity for IANS members to exchange information and views on various topics of interest in the field of anal neoplasia.  The topic will change quarterly.  Please send suggestions for future topics to iansociety@gmail.com.

Patient Education Committee


  1. To collate relevant and existing patient educational materials from clinics, offices and organizations
  2. To select existing pamphlets or excise some information from those pamphlets and create a more broadly relevant pamphlet which covers each of the educational categories. 
  3. To decide on more general materials (suitable for all clinics) or more specific educational materials (which may be relevant only for some settings).
  4. To develop a “Patient Education Corner” on the IANS website that would be suitable for patients
  5. To involve patients and the community in the discussions and decisions
