LearnĀ about High Resolution Anoscopy: is it right for my patients?

This course has been designed to improve medical knowledge, facilitate practice-based learning and enhance patient care by enabling participants to: 

  • Describe the epidemiology and pathophysiology of anal HPV-associated disease including HPV infection, low- and high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (L/HSIL), anal cancer
  • Identify populations who may benefit from anal cancer screening
  • Learn the diagnostic procedures used in the evaluation of L/HSIL and anal cancer. These include anal cytology, digital anal rectal exam, high resolution anoscopy, anal biopsy and ablative therapies
  • Discuss different treatment and management options for L/HSIL and anal cancer
  • Discuss prevention strategies for HPV-associated disease

This course is designed as an introduction to the topic area and is ideally suited to colorectal surgeons, gynecologists and general practitioners dealing with patients at risk of anal dysplasia.
